Keep: Bond garden tiller

A heavy, sturdy, high-quality tool that is a pleasure to use. It replaced the Home Depot Ames tool that broke. pdf version

I bought this Ace Hardware three-prong garden tiller-cultivator to replace a Home Depot cultivator/hoe. I used it to help rip out the vine roots in my back yard. The tines can get under the clumpy rhizome root. Most time I use the flat spade side, but I do remember using the tines.

Not only is this Ace Hardware tool stronger and nicer to use, it's six bucks cheaper. The heavier weight makes it nice to dig into root clusters and rip them out. I hope this lasts longer than the Home Depot tool.
The backyard vines have rhizome roots.

You can see Home Depot tines are bent badly.

The Ace Hardware product is all metal, with better welds and much more solid.

The UPC label with the typical California warnings, for those of you that live in that third-world state. It is made in China, but if modern Chinese quality.

The tool has a soft rubber handle I expect will trash out pretty soon, but the tool will still work. The hanging loop is soft so if you fall on the tool you won't die.The Ace Bond tool is from China, but better quality than the equally Chinese Home Depot Ames tool.

A guy in the comments at the Home Depot site says the UPC label says it's made in China.
