Plenty of techRako Studios got its start doing technical writing for clients in Silicon Valley. These clients included HP, TRW, Teledyne and a plethora of smaller companies.Accordingly the technical writing sections represent over 20 years of steady output. There is also the pre-publication copies of work for several technical magazines and websites, not covered by their copyrights. In addition to the work for clients, there is a large body of work done under the auspices of Rako Studios itself. These range from movie reviews to rants to companies to political writing published here and in various online publications. There are videos as part of the various tech subjects, spread across the site. These videos are hosted on YouTube and embedded here. This is a much better way to do things as opposed to try and design and host some streaming mechanism out of this site like most of those billion-dollar publishing multinationals tried to do, with abysmal results. In addition to tech writing there are articles about the methods and characteristics of good tech writing. Its essential to be clear and concise in tech writing It turns out that helps in most other types of writing and videos as well. |

Art, humor, music and moviesIn addition to the technical writing there is media such as art, humor, music and movies. Some of it created here, and other work aggregated from others. There are a few select articles by others that are so good they are re-published here.Media about motorcyclesThis site used to host a section about motorcycles, specifically Harley Sportsters, Those have been moved to a separate site, open-sport.org. The "open" refers to the open-source nature of old Harleys. The lack of the word Sportster is due to the wrath of the lawyers at the Motor Company.Product design and StriveBesides this media section the site has a large product design section. Some of the designs are the product of the consulting work we did, and others are proposed of special projects funded by Rako Studios. finally there is a journal depicting the day-to-day strive here at Rako Studios. The next sections are auto-generatedWe have programmed the website CMS (content management system) to add two media posts from each category after this column. You can click the title to see all category articles. |
