Keeping up appearances at the homestead is a big job. Some of the fun and not-so-fun projects.

Do-it-yourself projects are suddenly in vogue. Engineers have been fixing and building things for hundreds of years. This category is full of everything from auto repair to plumbing. There are many satisfactions from doing things yourself. One big factor is saving money. A friend saved 10,000 laying his own ceramic tile. Another factor is the joy of working with your hands. Anything that gets you off the couch is a good thing. There is also the creativity and problem-solving aspect. 2011-07-24_Sprinkler-repair.jpgA real joy is teaming up with a spouse or friend to accomplish some project. Finally, you can make sure the job is done right if you do it yourselves. Stay tuned for more projects to be posted in this section.
